Stocks end lower Sunday

DHAKA: Key share price indexes at both Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) witnessed negative trend on Sunday.

DSEX, the broad index of DSE, shed over 23 points only to stand at 4,739 at the close on the first trading day of the week.

Trade deals stood at 93444 with volume of transactions at Tk 3366 million.

Of the issues traded, 86 advanced, 185 declined and 35 remained unchanged.

HEIDELBCEM topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 219 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were LAFSURCEML, SPCL, SIBL, SINGERBD, SAPORTL, BSCCL, MJLBD, ACI and IDLC.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing down to 8850 by dropping over four points. 

Out of the issues traded, 50 gained, 154 declined and 22 remained unchanged.
