DHAKA: Both bourses of the country--Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- witnessed mixed trend in share-price indices on Wednesday.
DSEX, the benchmark index of DSE, shed over 14.25 point to stand at 4681.53 at the close on the fourth trading day of the week.
Trade deals stood at 63,813 with transaction at Tk 2218.47 million. Of the issues traded, 156 advanced, 104 declined and 48 remained unchanged.
However, the top 10 gainer of DSE were LIBRAINFU, SPCL, SAIHAMCOT, SINOBANGLA, FARCHEM, 5THICB, EASTRNLUB, BDTHAI, BBS and BANGAS.
Nevertheless, SPCL topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 155.30 million having changed hands.
The other turnover leaders were LAFSURCEML, GP, SAPORTL, SIBL, BSCCL, OLYMPIC, MJLBD, SQURPHARMA and ACI.
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 8722.99 by gaining over 1.10 points.
Out of the issues traded, 107 gained, 89 declined and 32 remained unchanged.
