DHAKA: Both two bourses of the country---Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- witnessed negative trend in share-price indices on Thursday, the last trading day of the week.
DSEX, the key index of DSE, shed over 16.62 points only to stand at 4,664.91 at the close on the last trading day of the week.
Trade deals stood at 1,05,236 with volume of transactions at Tk 2663.05 million.
Of the issues traded, 113 advanced, 145 declined and 45 remained unchanged.
However, top 10 gainers of DSE were 1STPRIMFMF, PROVATIINS, TUNGHAI, SPCL, EASTERNINS, STYLECRAFT, IFADAUTOS, MITHUNKNIT, QSMDRYCELL and SEBL1STMF.
Nevertheless, SHASHADNIM topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 358.62 million having changed hands.
The other turnover leaders were SPCL, LAFSURCEML, SAPORTL, SIBL, SQURPHARMA, IFADAUTOS, UCBL, MJLBD and BSCCL.
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing down to 8666.88 by dropping over 56.11 points.
Out of the issues traded, 67 gained, 133 declined and 28 remained unchanged.
