DHAKA: Investors witnessed minor fall in benchmark indices of the country’s bourses Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) on Sunday.
DSEX, the key index of DSE, shed over 39.96 points only to stand at 4624.94 at the close on the first trading day of the week.
Trade deals stood at 91,114 with volume of transactions at Tk 2490.67 million.
Of the issues traded, 100 advanced, 158 declined and 46 remained unchanged.
However, top 10 gainers of DSE were IFADAUTOS, SPCL, ANWARGALV, NPOLYMAR, WMSHIPYARD, SAIFPOWER, 1STPRIMFMF, NFML, SONARBAINS and SHURWID.
Nevertheless, SPCL topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 160.90 million having changed hands.
The other turnover leaders were IFADAUTOS, SHASHADNIM, LAFSURCEML, SAPORTL, IDLC, WMSHIPYARD, SAIFPOWER, NPOLYMAR and BSCCL.
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing down to 8617.41 by dropping over 49.46 points.
Out of the issues traded, 87 gained, 108 declined and 89 remained unchanged.
