DHAKA: Investors witnessed slight gain in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses-- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) on Monday.
DSEX, the key index of DSE, rose over 1.27 points to stand at 4626.22 at the close on the second trading day of the week.
Trade deals stood at 87984 with transaction at Tk 2797.45 million. Of the issues traded, 132 advanced, 135 declined and 37 remained unchanged.
SPCL topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 166.92 million having changed hands.
The other turnover leaders were SHASHADNIM, SIBL, GP, IFADAUTOS, SAIFPOWER, SAPORTL, SQURPHARMA, BBS and LAFSURCEML.
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 8618.72 by gaining over 1.31 points.
Out of the issues traded, 109 gained, 91 declined and 25 remained unchanged.
