DHAKA: After two months of increase, gold price in the local market is going to sell at Tk 44,521 from Wednesday decreasing by Tk 1,493 a bhori (11.664 grams) of 22-carat gold.
Bangladesh Jewelers Samity (BJS) informed the matter in a press release on Tuesday.
Earlier on January 22, price of gold reached Tk 46,014 increasing the same amount (Tk 1,493) per bhori in the wake of price hike in the international market.
In a press release of BJS said that the newly fixed prices of different carats of gold are: per bhori of 21-carat gold Tk 42,421, 18-carat Tk 35,773, and the traditional gold Tk 24,086.
However, the price of silver also decreased at Tk 1,050 which was earlier Tk 1,108.
