DHAKA: Trading on the country’s two bourses-- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- is underway with downward trend of share-price indices on Monday.
DSEX, the prime index of the DSE, went down by 2.29 points or 0.04 per cent to 4842.06 after the first one and half hour of trade at 11:56am.
Trade deals stood at 52672 with volume of transactions at Tk 2515.17 million.
Of the issues traded, 117 advanced, 137 declined and 49 remained unchanged.
UPGDCL topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 161.57 million having changed hands.
Following the suit, the Chittagong Stock Exchange Selective Categories Index (CSCX) climbed down to 9053.08 by dropping over 6.75 points at about 11:54am.
Out of the issues traded, 70 gained, 103 declined and 29 remained unchanged.
