DHAKA: Investors witnessed fall in benchmark indices of the country’s bourses -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) --on Monday.
DSEX, the prime index of the DSE, shed over 28.72 points only to stand at 4815.63 at the close on the second trading day of the week.
Trade deals stood at 148107 with volume of transactions at Tk 6603.60million.
Of the issues traded, 81 advanced, 185 declined and 54 remained unchanged.
UPGDCL topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 302.89 million having changed hands.
The other turnover leaders were FARCHEM, LAFSURCEML, APOLOISPAT, SPCL, WMSHIPYARD, BENGALWTL, SQURPHARMA, IFADAUTOS and GP.
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing down to 9007.62 by dropping over 52.21 points.
Out of the issues traded, 68 gained, 170 declined and 25 remained unchanged.
