DHAKA: Key share price indices in the country’s both bourses - Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) - began the week in positive as prices of most of their issues increased Sunday.
Trading at both DSE and CSE began on positive trend this morning and ended the day with significant gain.
DSEX, the key index of DSE, rose over 65.19 points to stand at 4533.21 at the close on the first trading day of the week.
Trade deals stood at 81,052 with transaction at Tk 2681.94 million. Of the issues traded, 203 advanced, 71 declined and 36 remained unchanged.
ACI topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 182.68 million having changed hands.
The other turnover leaders were LAFSURCEML, SPCL, ACIFORMULA, IFADAUTOS, BEXIMCO, AGNISYSL, MJLBD, GP and SHASHADNIM.
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 8376.30 by gaining over 76.21 points.
Out of the issues traded, 142 gained, 61 declined and 34 remained unchanged.
