DHAKA: Investors witnessed significant fall in benchmark indices of the country’s bourses --Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) on Monday.
DSEX, the Broad Index of DSE, shed over 48.79 points only to stand at 4509.28 at the close on the second trading day of the week.
Trade deals stood at 88667 with volume of transactions at Tk 3149.38 million.
Of the issues traded, 76 advanced, 198 declined and 32 remained unchanged.
GP topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 285.42 million having changed hands.
The other turnover leaders were ACI, SHASHADNIM, LAFSURCEML, IFADAUTOS, MJLBD, PHARMAID, WMSHIPYARD, SQURPHARMA and ACIFORMULA.
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing down to 8401.35 by dropping over 67.34 points.
Out of the issues traded, 49 gained, 172 declined and 20 remained unchanged.
