DHAKA: Expatriates can directly deposit money from any corner of the world into their BRAC Bank accounts from now on.
A press conference, held at a city hotel, made the assertion on Tuesday.
The clients of international money transfer company Trans-Fast will be able to send their money directly and instant at BRAC Bank as a deal has been signed between Trans-Fast LLC and BRAC Bank.
According to the deal, the Trans-Fast clients from any corner of the globe can deposit their money in a few minutes and can withdraw the money from any BRAC Bank branch, ATM booth and BRAC Bank agent.
People, who do not have accounts in BRAC Bank, can also send money and withdraw it from bank’s branch and SME Unit Office and also through BKash.
The Trans-Fast clients will also be able to send money from abroad to their families through online, telephone and Trans-Fast agents.
Trans-Fast chief executive officer Samish Kumar, Asia and Africa region director Samir Vidhate, its Bangladesh chief Mohammad Khairuzzaman, BRAC Bank head of retail sales remittance and parole Mamur Ahmed, senior relationship manager (Business Development Remittance and Retail Banking) Shahriar M Jamil, head of retail banking Firoz Ahmed Khan and head of communication and service quality Zara Jabeen Mahbub, among others, were present at the signing ceremony.
The Trans-Fast CEO said that the deal has been signed with BRAC Bank to provide additional services to the expatriates.
According to him, Trans-Fast transfers 600 billion USD remittances globally every year.
