DSE, CSE up at opening

DHAKA: Share price index at the country’s both bourses --- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – witnessed positive trend in early hours of trading on Wednesday, the fourth trading day of the week.

DSEX, the prime index of the DSE, gained 14.87 points or 0.32 per cent to 4545.35 after the first one-hour of trade at 11:39am.

Trade deals stood at 30162 with volume of transactions at Tk 1409.6 million.

Of the issues traded till then, 120 advanced, 89 declined and 43 remained unchanged.

MJLBD was the most traded stocks with shares worth Tk 136.00 million changing hands till then followed by SQURPHARMA, SAIFPOWER, BEXIMCO and GP.

The port city bourse – Chittagong Stocks Exchange (CSE) – also witnessed upward trend in early hour with its Selective Category Index gaining 5.56 points to 8439.90, also at 11:41am.

Of the issues traded till then, 66 gained, 54 declined and 25 remained unchanged.
