DSE, CSE down in early hours

DHAKA: Share price indices at the country’s both bourses --- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) slipped in early hours of trading on Sunday, the first trading day of the week.

DSEX, the Broad Index of the DSE, went down by 25.92 points or 0.57 per cent to 4446.21 after the first one-hour of trade at 12:08 pm.

Trade deals stood at 52962 with volume of transactions at Tk 1339.86 million.

Of the issues traded till then, 49 advanced, 182 declined and 36 remained unchanged.

UPGDCL was the most traded stocks with shares worth Tk 604.86 million changing hands till then followed by LAFSURCEML, ACI, MJLBD, BANGAS and SHASHADNIM.

The port city bourse – Chittagong Stocks Exchange (CSE) – also witnessed downward trend in early hour with its Selective Category Index losing 30.14 points to 8294.30, also at 12:03pm.

Of the issues traded till then, 35 gained, 86 declined and 28 remained unchanged.
