DHAKA: Investors witnessed minor fall in benchmark indices of the country’s bourses-- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE)--on Sunday.
DSEX, the Broad Index of DSE, shed over 41.02 points only to stand at 4431.10 at the close on the first trading day of the week.
Trade deals stood at 1,20,383 with volume of transactions at Tk 3116.12 million.
Of the issues traded, 42 advanced, 240 declined and 26 remained unchanged.
UPGDCL topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 791.69 million having changed hands.
The other turnover leaders were LAFSURCEML, IFADAUTOS, MJLBD, ACI, SHASHADNIM, GP, KPCL, PHARMAID and BANGAS.
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing down to 8256.24 by dropping over 68.20 points.
Out of the issues traded, 39 gained, 169 declined and 19 remained unchanged.
