DHAKA: Investors witnessed gain in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses-- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE)--on Thursday.
DSEX, the key index of DSE, rose over 12.84 points to stand at 4373.33 at the close on the last trading day of the week.
Trade deals stood at 128010 with transaction at Tk 5385.231 million. Of the issues traded, 142 advanced, 136 declined and 32 remained unchanged.
UPGDCL topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 526.53 million having changed hands.
The other turnover leaders were SHASHADNIM, MJLBD, WMSHIPYARD, ACI, IFADAUTOS, KPCL, SAIFPOWER, BEXIMCO, and SAPORTL.
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 8192.12 by gaining over 41.86 points.
Out of the issues traded, 114 gained, 102 declined and 26 remained unchanged.
