DHAKA: Share price index at the country’s both bourses --- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) witnessed gain in early hours of trading on Wednesday, the fourth trading day of the week.
DSEX, the prime index of the DSE, gained by 24.03 points or 0.56 per cent to 4307.28 after the first one-hour of trade at 11:30am.
Trade deals stood at 32723 with volume of transactions at Tk 1536.69 million.
Of the issues traded till then, 148 advanced, 61 declined and 31 remained unchanged.
UPGDCL was the most traded stocks with shares worth Tk 231.09 million changing hands till then followed by KPCL, WMSHIPYARD, ACI, SAIFPOWER and MJLBD.
The port city bourse – Chittagong Stocks Exchange (CSE) – also witnessed upward trend in early hour with its Selective Category Index losing 5.90 points to 8059.27, also at 11:32am.
Of the issues traded till then, 71 gained, 50 declined and 19 remained unchanged.
