DHAKA: Share price indices at the country’s both bourses-- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) slipped in early hours of trading on Thursday, the last trading day of the week.
DSEX, the Broad Index of the DSE, went down by 33.91 points or 0.79 per cent to 4219.03 after the first two-hour of trade at 12:15pm.
Trade deals stood at 42350 with volume of transactions at Tk 1735.57 million.
Of the issues traded till then, 73 advanced, 175 declined and 30 remained unchanged.
UPGDCL was the most traded stocks with shares worth Tk 246.54 million changing hands till then followed by BSCCL, KPCL, WMSHIPYARD, MHSML and SAIFPOWER.
The port city bourse – Chittagong Stocks Exchange (CSE) – also witnessed downward trend in early hour with its Selective Category Index losing 46.90 points to 7910.25, also at 11:14am.
Of the issues traded till then, 40 gained, 120 declined and 22 remained unchanged.
