DHAKA: Share price indices at the country’s both bourses --Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- slipped in early hours of trading on Sunday, the first trading day of the week.
DSEX, the prime index of the DSE, went down by 67.89 points or 1.61 per cent to 4124.31 after the first two-hour of trade at 12:27pm.
Trade deals stood at 43823 with volume of transactions at Tk 1806.10 million.
Of the issues traded till then, 28 advanced, 223 declined and 32 remained unchanged.
UPGDCL was the most traded stocks with shares worth Tk 282.19 million changing hands till then followed by ACI, SHASHADNIM, WMSHIPYARD, ACIFORMULA and SAIFPOWER.
The port city bourse – Chittagong Stocks Exchange (CSE) – also witnessed downward trend in early hour with its Selective Category Index losing 100.23 points to 7714.76, also at 12:22pm.
Of the issues traded till then, 23 gained, 130 declined and 20 remained unchanged.
