DHAKA: Investors witnessed significant fall in benchmark indices of the country’s bourses--Dhaka Stock Exchange and Dhaka Stock Exchange-- on Sunday.
DSEX, the Broad Index of DSE, shed over 97.72 points only to stand at 4094.47 at the close on the first trading day of the week.
Trade deals stood at 91471 with volume of transactions at Tk 3415.21 million.
Of the issues traded, 37 advanced, 248 declined and 22 remained unchanged.
UPGDCL topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 450.03 million having changed hands.
The other turnover leaders were ACI, WMSHIPYARD, SHASHADNIM, ACIFORMULA, SAIFPOWER, KPCL, IFADAUTOS, SPCL and GP.
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing down to 7648.09 by dropping over 166.90 points.
Out of the issues traded, 26 gained, 181 declined and 16 remained unchanged.
