DHAKA: Airtel Bangladesh Limited, the fastest growing telecom operator in the country, is offering their customers to place calls in Nepal for free of cost for the next 48 hours from 12:00am Monday.
On April 25, a 7.8 magnitude quake struck an area between the capital Kathmandu and the city of Pokhara and on April 26 another 6.7 magnitude tremor, centered 60km (40 miles) east of Nepal's capital Kathmandu, hit the country.
PD Sarma, MD and CEO, Airtel Bangladesh Limited, said, “We are deeply saddened by the severe impact that one of the worst earthquakes in Nepal has had on the lives of its people. As a small gesture during this hour of crisis, we have decided to offer all calls on the Airtel network from Bangladesh to Nepal completely free of cost for the next 48 hours effective from 12 am, 27th April, 2015, thus enabling customers across the country get in touch with their families and friends in Nepal.’’
Airtel Bangladesh Limited is offering their all customers to make calls to Nepal free of cost for the next 48 hours. This initiative will let the people get connected to their beloved ones who are affected by the earthquake hit in Nepal.
