DSE, CSE down at opening

DHAKA: Share price indices at the country’s both bourses --- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) witnessed negative in early hour’s trading on Wednesday, the fourth trading day of the week.

DSEX, the Broad Index of the DSE, went down by 35.49 points or 0.86 per cent to 4082.98 after the first half-hour of trade at 11:07am.

Trade deals stood at 14218 with volume of transactions at Tk 479.72 million.

Of the issues traded till then, 43 advanced, 132 declined and 20 remained unchanged.

UPGDCL was the most traded stocks with shares worth Tk 108.70 million changing hands till then followed by ACIFORMULA, BSRMLTD, ACI, SPCL and SHASHADNIM.

The port city bourse – Chittagong Stocks Exchange (CSE) – also witnessed downward trend in early hour with its Selective Category Index losing 36.72 points to 7656.81, also at 11:03am.

Of the issues traded till then, 15 gained, 53 declined and seven remained unchanged.
