DHAKA: The Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) and Poland Embassy in Dhaka on Saturday jointly organized a seminar on boosting the trade between the two countries.
The seminar was organized at Spectra Convention Center in city where the speakers highlighted various advantages and prospects of trade between the two countries and steps that were taken to increase investment.
First Vice-President of FBCCI Monowara Hakim Ali, Polish ambassador to Bangladesh Tomasz Lukaszuk, Councilor of Economic section of Polish Embassy Maria Lukaszuk, First Secretary Jaroslaw J Groberek and Trade and Investment Promotion Section Head Zbigniew Magdziarz were present in the seminar.
The speakers also said Bangladesh has exported knitwear, woven garments, frozen food, leather goods, jute, agricultural and ceramic products and carpets worth about US $268.30 million whereas imported various products including machineries of $17.90 million in the first six months (July-December) of FY2014-15.
