DHAKA: Both two bourses of the country--Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE)--witnessed negative trend in share-price indices on Monday.
DSEX, the Broad Index of DSE, shed over 87.54 points only to stand at 3959.73 at the close on the first trading day of the week as trading remained closed on Sunday for a national holiday.
Trade deals stood at 91319 with volume of transactions at Tk 3304.42 million.
Of the issues traded, 68 advanced, 218 declined and 19 remained unchanged.
UPGDCL topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 349.75 million having changed hands.
The other turnover leaders were ACIFORMULA, ACI, SQURPHARMA, LAFSURCEML, IFADAUTOS, BSRMLTD, GP, KPCL and WMSHIPYARD.
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing down to 7433.81 by dropping over 115.16 points.
Out of the issues traded, 44 gained, 154 declined and 22 remained unchanged.
