DSE, CSE up in early hrs

DHAKA: Share price indices at the country’s both bourses --Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE)—witnessed positive in early hours of trading on Wednesday, the fourth trading day of the week.

DSEX, the prime index of the DSE, gained by 24.04 points or 0.59 per cent to 4038.41 after the first one-hour of trade at 11:30am.

Trade deals stood at 25269 with volume of transactions at Tk 1002.95 million.

Of the issues traded till then, 160 advanced, 51 declined and 39 remained unchanged.



SPCL was the most traded stocks with shares worth Tk 91.37 million changing hands till then followed by UPGDCL, ACIFORMULA, MJLBD, IFADAUTOS and ACI.

The port city bourse – Chittagong Stocks Exchange (CSE) – also witnessed upward trend in early hour with its Selective Category Index losing 38.96 points to 7549.91, also at 11:34am.

Of the issues traded till then, 84 gained, 25 declined and 15 remained unchanged.
