Stocks end higher Sunday

DHAKA: Amid delayed trading in Dhaka Stock Exchange due to technical faults, country's stock market marked gain in its price indices on Sunday, the first trading day of the week.
   
DSEX, the key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, rose over 1.34 points only to stand at 4484.62 at the close of day’s trading. 

Trade deals stood at 74357 with volume of transactions at Tk 3431.76 million.

Of the issues traded, 133 advanced, 136 declined and 31 remained unchanged.

KPCL topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 252.40 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were SAIFPOWER, SAPORTL, BSCCL, UPGDCL, IFADAUTOS, DESCO, BARKAPOWER, AFCAGRO and BEXIMCO.

However, Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 8458.35 by gaining over 0.43 points.
 
Out of the issues traded, 80 gained, 128 declined and 27 remained unchanged.
