DHAKA: Trading on the country’s two bourses -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- is underway showing gain in share-price indices on Monday.
DSEX, the Broad Index of DSE, rose over 64.68 points to stand at 4549.30 at 12:40 pm.
Trade deals stood at 25057 with transaction at Tk 1381.02 million.
Of the issues traded, 159 advanced, 47 declined and 30 remained unchanged.
KPCL topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 130.15 million having changed hands during the time.
However, the start of trading (10:30am) of the DSE, the main bourse of the country, was delayed for about two hours because of technical glitch.
According to DSE website, trading started at 12:15 pm and will continue till 4:15 pm.
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 8592.59by gaining over 137.66 points at 12:37pm.
Out of the issues traded, 122 gained, 54 declined and 30 remained unchanged.
