DHAKA: Share price indices at the country’s both bourses --- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) slipped in early hours of trading on Thursday, the last trading day of the week.
DSEX, the prime index of the DSE, went down by 19.97 points or 0.43 per cent to 4596.14 after the first two-hour of trade at 12:22pm.
Trade deals stood at 85824 with volume of transactions at Tk 4430.51 million.
Of the issues traded till then, 97 advanced, 163 declined and 39 remained unchanged.
KPCL was the most traded stocks with shares worth Tk 359.38 million changing hands till then followed by RAKCERAMIC, SPPCL, WMSHIPYARD, BEXIMCO and AFCAGRO.
The port city bourse – Chittagong Stocks Exchange (CSE) – also witnessed downward trend in early hour with its Selective Category Index losing 40.66 points to 8668.58, also at 12:21pm.
Of the issues traded till then, 63 gained, 67 declined and 28 remained unchanged.
