Stocks end lower Thursday

DHAKA: Country's stock market marked fall in its price indices on Thursday, the last trading day of the week.

DSEX, the Broad Index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, shed over 71.41 points only to stand at 4544.70 at the close of day’s trading.

Trade deals stood at 176897 with volume of transactions at Tk 8588.13 million.

Of the issues traded, 71 advanced, 217 declined and 26 remained unchanged.



KPCL topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 680.55 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were GP, RAKCERAMIC, SPPCL, BEXIMCO, UPGDCL, WMSHIPYARD, ACIFORMULA, AFCAGRO and SAPORTL.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing down to 8583.08 by dropping over 126.16 points.
 
Out of the issues traded, 41 gained, 176 declined and 23 remained unchanged.
