DHAKA: Share price indices at the country’s both bourses --- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – witnesses gain in early hours of trading on Sunday, the first trading day of the week.
DSEX, the prime index of the DSE, rose over by 55.61 points or 1.22 per cent to 4600.32 after the first two-hour of trade at 12:11pm.
Trade deals stood at 67622 with volume of transactions at Tk 3392.94 million.
Of the issues traded till then, 179 advanced, 72 declined and 48 remained unchanged.
BEXIMCO was the most traded stocks with shares worth Tk 279.18 million changing hands till then followed by RAKCERAMIC, SPPCL, SUMITPOWER, ACIFORMULA and SAPORTL.
The port city bourse – Chittagong Stocks Exchange (CSE) – also witnessed downward trend in early hour with its Selective Category Index losing 101.39 points to 8684.48, at 12:05pm.
Of the issues traded till then, 118 gained, 43 declined and 19 remained unchanged.
