DHAKA: Investors witnessed gain in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- on Sunday.
DSEX, the key index of DSE, rose over 42.24 points to stand at 4586.95 at the close on the first trading day of the week.
Trade deals stood at 158512 with transaction at Tk 7884.19 million.
Of the issues traded, 133 advanced, 133 declined and 43 remained unchanged.
BEXIMCO topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 424.54 million having changed hands.
The other turnover leaders were RAKCERAMIC, ACIFORMULA, UPGDCL, SPPCL, BSCCL, BARKAPOWER, MJLBD, FARCHEM and BXPHARMA.
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 8654.11 by gaining over 71.02 points.
Out of the issues traded, 103 gained, 113 declined and 26 remained unchanged.
