DHAKA: Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith Friday said there is nothing to say about black money as answers of all queries existed in the Income Tax Law.
The minister came up with this assertion while replying to a query of a reporter on proposed budget for 2015-16 fiscal year after post-budget press conference in city’s Osmani Auditorium in the afternoon.
In reply to another query about implementation of the budget, Muhith said, “Budget implementation is the big challenge. However, the situation of the country has improved in recent days. In previous year, the rate of budget implementation was 96 percent.”
While talking about the additional tax on SIM cards, he said that the sector has been flourishing day by day. Therefore, I think that it would be no problem from the mobile users, the minister added.
Industries minister Amir Hossain Amu, Agriculture minister Begum Matia Chowdhury, planning minister AHM Mustafa Kamal, Information minister Hasanul Haque Inu, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s political Adviser HT Imam, Bangladesh Bank (BB) Governor Dr Atiur Rahman, among others, were present.
On Thursday, the finance minister presented budget of Tk 2,95,100 crore for 2015-16 fiscal year in parliament.
