DHAKA: Investors witnessed minor fall in benchmark indices of the country’s bourses --Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- on Monday.
DSEX, the Broad Index of DSE, shed over 75.43 points only to stand at 4542.27 at the close on the second trading day of the week.
Trade deals stood at 132902 with volume of transactions at Tk 5860.51 million.
Of the issues traded, 65 advanced, 232 declined and 21 remained unchanged.
KPCL topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 588.24 million having changed hands.
The other turnover leaders were BEXIMCO, SUMITPOWER, UNITEDAIR, LAFSURCEML, BXPHARMA, UPGDCL, AFCAGRO, BSCCL and BARKAPOWER.
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing down to 8459.58 by dropping over 174.36 points.
Out of the issues traded, 32 gained, 189 declined and 22 remained unchanged.
