DHAKA: Share price indices at the country’s both bourses -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- witnessed gain in early hours of trading on Wednesday, the fourth trading day of the week.
DSEX, the Broad Index of the DSE, rose over by 60.50 points or 1.34 per cent to 4574.48 after the first one-hour of trade at 11:35am.
Trade deals stood at 31600 with volume of transactions at Tk 1515.06 million.
Of the issues traded till then, 201 advanced, 38 declined and 25 remained unchanged.
UNITEDAIR was the most traded stocks with shares worth Tk 46.47 million changing hands till then followed by BEXIMCO, HEIDELBCEM, UPGDCL, KPCL and GP.
The port city bourse – Chittagong Stocks Exchange (CSE) – also witnessed gain in early hour with its Selective Category Index losing 70.40 points to 8529.37, also at 11:35am.
Of the issues traded till then, 103 gained, 25 declined and 28 remained unchanged.
