DHAKA: Share price indices at the country’s both bourses -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- slipped in early hours of trading on Sunday, the first trading day of the week.
DSEX, the Broad Index of the DSE, went down by 49.65 points or 1.09 per cent to 4465.47 after around the first two-hour of trade at 12:14 pm.
Trade deals stood at 41004 with volume of transactions at Tk 1617.46 million.
Of the issues traded till then, 52 advanced, 202 declined and 29 remained unchanged.
GP was the most traded stocks with shares worth Tk 160.20 million changing hands till then followed by UNITEDAIR, BEXIMCO, SQURPHARMA, SUMITPOWER and KPCL.
The port city bourse – Chittagong Stocks Exchange (CSE) – also witnessed downward trend in early hour with its Selective Category Index losing 82.16 points to 8373.04, also at 12:13pm.
Of the issues traded till then, 35 gained, 131 declined and 25 remained unchanged.
