Stocks end lower Sunday

DHAKA: Country's stock market marked fall in its price indices on Sunday, the first trading day of the week.

 DSEX, the Broad Index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, shed over 61.76 points only to stand at 4453.36 at the close of day’s trading.

Trade deals stood at 94634 with volume of transactions at Tk 3530.28 million.

Of the issues traded, 66 advanced, 218 declined and 28 remained unchanged.

GP topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 221.17 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were UNITEDAIR, BEXIMCO, KPCL, SQURPHARMA, SUMITPOWER, LAFSURCEML, FAMILYTEX, UPGDCL and OLYMPIC.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing down to 8333.77 by dropping over 121.42 points.
 
Out of the issues traded, 37 gained, 182 declined and 18 remained unchanged.
