Stocks end lower Wednesday

DHAKA: Country's stock market marked gain in its price indices on Wednesday, the fourth trading day of the week.

 DSEX, the Broad Index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, rose over 20.70 points only to stand at 4527.41 at the close of day’s trading.

Trade deals stood at 130565 with volume of transactions at Tk 4471.58 million.

Of the issues traded, 200 advanced, 85 declined and 31 remained unchanged.


TOSRIFA topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 250.27 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were GP, UNITEDAIR, KPCL, FAMILYTEX, BEXIMCO, SUMITPOWER, MJLBD, FARCHEM and SQURPHARMA.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 8470.49 by gaining over 46.52 points.
 
Out of the issues traded, 145 gained, 58 declined and 26 remained unchanged.
