DHAKA: Investors witnessed minor fall in benchmark indices of the country’s bourses -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- on Thursday, the last trading day of the week.
DSEX, the Broad Index of DSE, shed over 16.57 points only to stand at 8452.41 at the close of day’s trading.
Trade deals stood at 112629 with volume of transactions at Tk 4067.48 million.
Of the issues traded, 147 advanced, 121 declined and 44 remained unchanged.
UNITEDAIR topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 172.75 million having changed hands.
The other turnover leaders were IFADAUTOS, BSRMLTD, BEXIMCO, KPCL, LAFSURCEML, FAMILYTEX, SAIFPOWER, GP and SAPORTL.
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing down to 8458.62by dropping over 10.35 points.
Out of the issues traded, 94 gained, 117 declined and 29 remained unchanged.
