DHAKA: Share price indices at the country’s both bourses -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- slipped in early hours of trading on Sunday, the first trading day of the week.
DSEX, the prime index of the DSE, went down by 12.76 points or 0.28 per cent to 4507.08 after the first one-hour of trade at 11:40am.
Trade deals stood at 36671 with volume of transactions at Tk 1256.72 million.
Of the issues traded till then, 119 advanced, 116 declined and 45 remained unchanged.
KPCL was the most traded stocks with shares worth Tk 88.97 million changing hands till then followed by RAKCERAMIC, FARCHEM, SAIFPOWER, SAPORTL and TOSRIFA.
The port city bourse – Chittagong Stocks Exchange (CSE) – also witnessed downward trend in early hour with its Selective Category Index losing 6.72 points to 8451.90, also at 11:43am.
Of the issues traded till then, 73 gained, 70 declined and 28 remained unchanged.
