DHAKA: Country’s two bourses -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- witnessed down trend in share-price indices on Tuesday.
DSEX, the key index of DSE, shed over 14.53 point negative to stand at 4489.46 at the close on the third trading day of the week.
Trade deals stood at 99736 with transaction at Tk 4345.36 million. Of the issues traded, 114 advanced, 158 declined and 46 remained unchanged.
Lafarge Surma Cement Limited (LAFSURCEML) topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 375.03 million having changed hands.
The other turnover leaders were BXPHARMA, BEXIMCO, GP, FAMILYTEX, SQURPHARMA, SUMITPOWER, UNITEDAIR, KPCL, and TOSRIFA.
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 8420.49 by shedding over 3.03 points.
Out of the issues traded, 68 gained, 138 declined and 29 remained unchanged.
