DHAKA: Bangladesh will get duty-free access of 6,998 products to Thailand. Government officials of both countries made the disclosure in city on Thursday.
Fifteen other products, including ready-made garments (RMG), medicine and agri-products, will gradually get duty-free access to the country.
The officials, after attending the maiden Foreign Office Consultations (FOC) between Bangladesh and Thailand that concluded on Thursday, held a press briefing at state guesthouse Padma in city.
However, the two-day meeting began in Dhaka on June 24.
Bangladesh foreign secretary Shahidul Haque and Thai foreign secretary Norachit Sinhaseni attended the meeting on behalf of their respective sides.
Other Bangladesh and Thailand officials also participated the meeting.
