DHAKA: Share price indices at the country’s both bourses -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – witnessed gain in early hours of trading on Sunday, the first trading day of the week.
DSEX, the prime index of the DSE, rose over by 24.65 points or 0.55 per cent to 4479.93 after the first half-an-hour of trade at 11:30am.
Trade deals stood at 14692 with volume of transactions at Tk 520.62 million.
Of the issues traded till then, 123 advanced, 73 declined and 40 remained unchanged.
SAIFPOWER was the most traded stocks with shares worth Tk 54.71 million changing hands till then followed by OAL, BXPHARMA, SQURPHARMA, LAFSURCEML and IFADAUTOS.
The port city bourse – Chittagong Stocks Exchange (CSE) – also witnessed upward trend in first half-an-hour with its Selective Category Index losing 29.30 points to 8379.13, also at 11:07am.
Of the issues traded till then, 67 gained, 43 declined and 20 remained unchanged.
