DHAKA: Investors witnessed gain in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses--Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE)-- on Sunday, the first trading day of the week.
DSEX, the Broad Index of DSE, rose over 46.93 points to stand at 4502.22 at the close of day’s trading.
Trade deals stood at 95792 with transaction at Tk 3620.38 million. Of the issues traded, 160 advanced, 110 declined and 41 remained unchanged.
BXPHARMA topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 210.48 million having changed hands.
The other turnover leaders were LAFSURCEML, SQURPHARMA, OAL, SAIFPOWER, BEXIMCO, AFCAGRO, GP, IFADAUTOS and KPCL.
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 8417.32 by gaining over 67.49 points.
Out of the issues traded, 124 gained, 81 declined and 36 remained unchanged.
