DHAKA: Share price indices at the country’s both bourses --- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – witnessed upward trend in early hours of trading on Thursday, the last trading day of the week.
DSEX, the Broad Index of the DSE, gained by 14.53 points or 0.31 per cent to 4594.26 after the first one and half-hour of trade at 11:52am.
Trade deals stood at 44272 with volume of transactions at Tk 1986.11 million.
Of the issues traded till then, 122 advanced, 117 declined and 59 remained unchanged.
GP was the most traded stocks with shares worth Tk 136.46 million changing hands till then followed by UNITEDAIR, KPCL, IFADAUTOS, ACI and AFCAGRO.
The port city bourse – Chittagong Stocks Exchange (CSE) – also witnessed upward trend in early hour with its Selective Category Index losing 16.26 points to 8613.76, also at 11:52am.
Of the issues traded till then, 72 gained, 76 declined and 34 remained unchanged.
