DSE, CSE up at opening

DHAKA: Share price indices at the country’s both bourses -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- witnessed positive trend in early hour’s trading on Sunday, the first trading day of the week.

DSEX, the prime index of the DSE, gained by 12.65 points or 0.27 per cent to 4612.56 after the first one-hour of trade at 11:27am.

Trade deals stood at 33829 with volume of transactions at Tk 1841.53 million.

Of the issues traded till then, 123 advanced, 102 declined and 48 remained unchanged.

ACI was the most traded stocks with shares worth Tk 367.88 million changing hands till then followed by ACIFORMULA, LAFSURCEML, KPCL, BXPHARMA and IFADAUTOS.

The port city bourse – Chittagong Stocks Exchange (CSE) – also witnessed upward trend in early hour with its Selective Category Index losing 25.44 points to 8652.31, also at 11:28am.

Of the issues traded till then, 79 gained, 97 declined and 27 remained unchanged.
