DHAKA: All Customs Houses in the country and branches of banks, related to customs house, will remain open on next Friday.

National Board of Revenue (NBR) has taken the decision aiming to keep continue export-import activities of garments industries.

Regarding the matter, an official order signed by NBR second secretary Mohammad Roiych Uddin Khan was issued recently.

According to the order, Dhaka Customs House, Benapole Customs House commissioner of Kamalapur ICD (Inland Container Depot) were asked to take necessary measures to keep open the export-import duty stations.

NBR has taken the decision in response to an appeal filed by Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA).
