DHAKA: World Bank (WB) will give Tk 117 crore for the development of agricultural sector from which at least 6,660 farmers will get solar pumps facilities.
Moreover, the residents of remote areas will get 225 Solar Home System (SHS) and 2,500 mini-grade connection which will reduce the power scarcity.
WB public relations officer (PRO) Mehrin-e-Mahbub confirmed the matter to banglanews on Saturday.
He said this global money lender will give this loan under Global Partnership Output Based Aid (GPOBA) that will also save the villagers from the affect of diesel-run pumps.
The project will benefit the lower income people, moreover, using the biogas plant 9,850 family can run environ friendly kitchen, WB sources said.
