DHAKA: Investors witnessed fall in benchmark indices of the country’s both bourses --Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – on Sunday, the first trading day of the week.
DSEX, the key index of DSE, shed over 21.90 points only to stand at 4786.49 at the close of day’s trading.
Trade deals stood at 154531 with volume of transactions at Tk 7548.96 million.
Of the issues traded, 118 advanced, 159 declined and 39 remained unchanged.
LAFSURCEML topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 610.99 million having changed hands.
The other turnover leaders were KPCL, ACI, SPCL, GP, SHASHADNIM, RENATA, OAL, FARCHEM and BEXIMCO.
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing down to 8926.51 by dropping over 38.73 points.
Out of the issues traded, 92 gained, 120 declined and 32 remained unchanged.
