DHAKA: Share price indices at the country’s both bourses -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- slipped in early hours of trading on Monday, the second trading day of the week.
DSEX, the prime index of the DSE, went down by 9.54 points or 0.19 per cent to 4776.95 after the first one and half hour of trade at 11:52am.
Trade deals stood at 46725 with volume of transactions at Tk 2231.94 million.
Of the issues traded till then, 113 advanced, 122 declined and 54 remained unchanged.
LAFSURCEML was the most traded stocks with shares worth Tk 163.99 million changing hands till then followed by RAKCERAMIC, SPCL, DESCO, OAL and PLFSL.
The port city bourse – Chittagong Stocks Exchange (CSE) – also witnessed downward trend in early hour with its Selective Category Index losing 14.98 points to 8916.80, also at 11:46am.
Of the issues traded till then, 70 gained, 76 declined and 27 remained unchanged.
