DHAKA: Share price indices at the country’s both bourses -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- slipped in early hours of trading on Thursday, the last trading day of the week.
DSEX, the prime index of the DSE, went down by 8.8 points or 0.18 per cent to 4769.05 after the first two-hour of trade at 12:22pm.
Trade deals stood at 58714 with volume of transactions at Tk 2618.64 million.
Of the issues traded till then, 115 advanced, 137 declined and 49 remained unchanged.
LAFSURCEML was the most traded stocks with shares worth Tk 157.39 million changing hands till then followed by SQURPHARMA, SHASHADNIM, GP, OAL and IDLC.
The port city bourse – Chittagong Stocks Exchange (CSE) – also witnessed downward trend in early hour with its Selective Category Index losing 11.58 points to 8909.60, also at 12:22pm.
Of the issues traded till then, 78 gained, 93 declined and 37 remained unchanged.
