DHAKA: Share price indices at the country’s both bourses -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – witnessed positive trend in early hours of trading on Sunday, the first trading day of the week.
DSEX, the prime index of the DSE, gained by 5.25 points or 0.10 per cent to 4797.55 after the first one-hour of trade at 11:42am.
Trade deals stood at 48086 with volume of transactions at Tk 25.65 million.
Of the issues traded till then, 135 advanced, 107 declined and 49 remained unchanged.
BXPHARMA was the most traded stocks with shares worth Tk 152.44 million changing hands till then followed by LAFSURCEML, FARCHEM, DESCO, KPCL and GP.
The port city bourse – Chittagong Stocks Exchange (CSE) – also witnessed upward trend in early hour with its Selective Category Index losing 8.88 points to 8968.47, also at 11:38am.
Of the issues traded till then, 72 gained, 70 declined and 41 remained unchanged.
